Ebay Ask Members To Change Their Passwords Because The Site Has Been Hacked!

Online auction site eBay has asked their users to change their passwords to their accounts because the site has been hacked.
A database containing passwords had been hacked, but thankfully data like credit cards numbers was on another database and is safe. Hackers were able to gain access to eBay employee log-ins, eBay said, which in turn gave them access to the encoded passwords.
In a statement the site said:
“[C]hanging passwords is a best practice,”
The hacking happened late February early March of this year but it was only today that eBay found out about the hacking.
If you would like to change your password please follow the following steps.
  1. Log into your eBay account.
  2. Click on 'My eBay'
  3. Open  Personal Information on the left hand side of the page.
  4. Look for the word ‘Password’ and click ‘edit’.
  5. Type your old password in the top box and then the new one in the following boxes below that.
  6. Your done.
Make sure you change your password.
